Wrinkle Guard is a balm made for skin folds. Wipe the folds clean, dry them, then work a thin layer in. It cares for the delicate skin in the folds and keeps it soft, comfortable and free from the itch of dryness.

Ingredients, and what they do

Shea butter: a butter from the nut of the shea tree, and it protects and conditions dry skin.
Hemp seed oil: oil pressed from hemp seed, and it is full of omega fatty acids that calm and strengthen delicate skin.
Avocado oil: oil pressed from avocado, and it feeds the skin without clogging it.
Jojoba oil: a liquid wax from the jojoba bush, and it spreads thin so a little covers a lot.
Olive leaf extract: an extract from olive leaves, and it helps keep the folds clean and fresh.
Licorice root: an extract from the licorice plant, and it works alongside the olive leaf to keep folds comfortable.
Calendula: an extract from marigold flowers, long used to soothe skin.
Vitamin E: a vitamin, and it works against dryness and stops the oils in the tin going off.

There is rosemary extract in it too. No water, no petroleum jelly, no parabens, and no beeswax, so this tin is vegan. Keep away from cats.

Made for the fold-wearers

Bulldogs, French bulldogs, pugs, shar peis, boxers, mastiffs. Any dog born with charm and cheeks in equal measure. It also suits the nose rope, the chin and the lip edges, which dry out for the same reason.

How much, and how long a tin lasts

• Wipe each fold clean and let it dry properly first.
• A pea-sized amount, worked thinly into each fold.
• Once or twice a day.
• Bedtime is easiest, because the face gets left alone afterwards.

A face takes very little, so a 15 g tin lasts about three months of daily care. Use within 6 months of opening.

When to see a vet

See a vet if a fold is weeping, smells, or if the dog is rubbing the face along the floor. That needs treating rather than caring for.
